Giàn khoan tự nâng PV DRILLING VIII được
đóng theo mẫu thiết kế tiêu chuẩn của Công ty Keppel Offshore &
Marine cho thế hệ mới nhất của giàn tự nâng – KFELS Class B MOD V &
đăng kiểm DNV, hoạt động tại các khu vực biển Đông Nam Á và các vùng
khác trên thế giới với độ sâu đáy biển lớn nhất là 121,92 m.
Giàn được trang bị các hệ thống máy móc
hiện đại với công nghệ mới nhất, đặc biệt là hệ thống khoan với thiết bị
chủ yếu được cung cấp từ Công ty National Oilwell Varco như Top Drive
TDS-8SA-750T; ADS-10T 3,200 HP National Drawwork; VFD; 3x Lewco/W2215
Mud Pump; Amphion Drilling System… Giàn PV DRILLING VIII có khả năng thi
công giếng khoan có độ sâu đến 30.000 ft (tương đương 9.144m chiều sâu
khoan) và cùng lúc có thể có đến 120 người cùng tham gia làm việc trực
tiếp trên giàn.
Giàn PV DRILLING VIII đã đưa vào hoạt động từ quý 3/2025.
